Don't Buy A New
Pressure Washer.
Replace The Plug.

If your GFCI plug trips, won't reset, or died in the rain — your pressure washer, pool pump, or power tool isn't broken. The plug is. Swap it in about 5 minutes with the Kaper 3-prong inline GFCI.

// The Problem

Sound Familiar?

A bad GFCI plug kills thousands of pressure washers, pool pumps, and power tools every year. Here's how to tell if a $20 plug swap will bring yours back.

Plug Won't Reset

You press RESET and the light won't come on, or it trips again in seconds. Classic failed GFCI.

Dies In Wet Weather

Worked fine until it got wet. Moisture got into an old non-waterproof plug and it never came back.

Cracked or Burnt Casing

Visible damage, scorch marks, or the prongs wiggle. The motor is fine — the safety plug gave out first.

// Built-in Safety

Why Kaper Over Generic.

Cheap GFCIs pass UL minimums. Kaper doubles them. Here's what that actually means when you're standing in water holding a live electrical tool.

[ 01 ]

Self-Tests Every 5 Seconds

Most GFCIs self-test every 3 hours (the UL minimum). Kaper runs a full integrity check the moment you plug in — then every 5 seconds for as long as it's powered.

[ 02 ]

25ms Trip Speed

When a ground fault hits 4–6mA, Kaper cuts power in 25 milliseconds — roughly 10× faster than your heart can register the shock. That's the difference between a startle and a hospital.

[ 03 ]

Waterproof Build

Sealed rubber gasket and water-resistant housing rated for outdoor use. Standing water, rain, spray-back from the wand — the plug stays sealed, the circuit stays safe.

[ 04 ]

6,000+ Factory Tests

Every unit is tested against 2× the UL 943 standard before it leaves the line. Overkill on a GFCI is the right amount of kill.

[ 05 ]

Auto-Reset When Safe

Power blips and surges happen. When the fault clears, the plug restores power automatically — no crawling around behind the pool pump hunting for the button.

[ 06 ]

Tool-Free Install

Strip three wires. Screw them to the labeled terminals — BLK, WHT, GRN. Close the housing. That's the whole job.

  1. 1

    Strip the cord

    Remove the dead plug. Strip the outer jacket back 21–22mm, then strip each inner conductor 8–9mm.

  2. 2

    Match wire to screw

    BLK → brass (hot)  ·  WHT → silver (neutral)  ·  GRN → green (ground). Tighten clockwise.

  3. 3

    Clamp and seal

    Slide the strain-relief clamp over the outer jacket and tighten. The rubber gasket makes it water-resistant.

  4. 4

    Test before use

    Plug in → light ON. Press TEST → light OFF. Press RESET → light ON. You're protected.

// Questions

Before You Click Buy.

If your pressure washer uses a 120V, 15A or lower, 3-wire grounded cord (which covers almost all consumer-grade electric pressure washers — Karcher, Sun Joe, AR Blue Clean, Simpson, Greenworks, etc.), yes. Just count the wires inside the old plug: three wires (black, white, green) means this is your match.
No. The install is three screw terminals clearly labeled BLK, WHT, and GRN. If you can strip a wire and turn a screwdriver, you can finish this in about five minutes. Always unplug the cord from the wall before working on it.
This is the 3-prong grounded version, which means you need a 3-wire cord (two conductors plus a ground). If your tool has a 2-prong cord, look at Kaper's 2-prong GFCI listing instead — same safety standards, different prong count.
Auto-reset only restores power after a clean event — a momentary surge, a brownout, or a recovered fault. If a real ground fault persists, the plug stays tripped and locked out. Auto-reset is the right choice for pool pumps, vending equipment, and pressure washers where nobody is directly holding the tool when power is cut.
Plug it into a live outlet — the indicator light should come on. Press TEST — the light should go off and power should cut. Press RESET — light back on. Do this test monthly. If TEST doesn't trip it, stop using it and contact support.
